My 25 Percent is back from its short vacation. Here are the latest updates for September:

The Layout - You may have noticed the design of the site has changed (again. This must be the 6th design of the site since I started the series around a year and a half ago!) Anyway, as always, I'm trying to improve the layout and keep the site as simple to use as possible, while providing as much functionality as possible (there, I'm starting to sound like a software engineer again!). If you have any comments about the new layout, feel free to post them here or contact me.
The Shop - I keep being asked "where can I buy a 'My 25 Percent' T-shirt?". I already got to print some shirts for me and my friends, but I guess I need to start thinking bigger. In the near future, you'll be able to order T-shirts and other cool original My 25 Percent merchandise online. In the meanwhile, if there's a particular item that you'd like (a T-shirt, a sticker, a magnet, a coffee mug) or a particular strip/design you'd like to see on an item, feel free to contact me and suggest it.

Due to the joyous birth of my first born son, My 25 Percent will be on a short mid-season break. The series will be back with fresh new episodes in a few short weeks... I've also got a few surprises up my sleeve, and you'll hear more about them in the upcoming weeks as well.

New Layout
You may have noticed a change in the design of the My 25 Percent site. The change was due some feedback I got, from reviewers and friends, regarding the site's user friendliness. Besides the new, more “cartoony” feel, the new design is aimed at improving the navigation.

Coincidently, it is also the 50th episode of My 25 Percent!

Season 2 Premiere

I'm glad to announce that My 25 Percent season 2 will premiere next weekend.

The 2nd season will continue to follow the adventures of Dan and his friends in CRAP, a large international software corporate. These are not easy days for CRAP - the latest global financial crisis has hit numerous technology companies, and CRAP is no exception. This season will deal, among other things, with how CRAP handles the financial crisis.

Your favorite characters from season 1 will return to appear in this season, along with some new (and surprising) characters.

So see you all at the next episode of My 25 Percent!

The chapter Alone in the Dark is the season finale of My 25 Percent's first season.

We're taking a short vacation for the holidays (Jewish holidays, that is). We'll be back in a few weeks with the second season of My 25 Percent... Our promise to you is that it's going to be quite an exciting season, so stay tuned!

Moving my Blogger blog to a custom domain was not as easy as it sounds, but that, my friends, is a tale for another day.

New Layout

My 25 Percent now has a new layout. The new layout should simplify navigating in the blog, plus it allows me to publish the real-size comic strip in the main page, avoiding the annoying "Click on thumbail to view larger image" thing.

You can now rate any My 25 Percent strip. Below each post is a rating from a scale of 1 star to 5 stars. 1 star means it sucks, 5 stars means it's excellent. So make a stand and rate all my strips, your opinion counts.

The rating widget is courtesy of Outbrain. In case you own a blog, I strongly recommend it. It's simple to install and monitor, plus there are some cool features, like the "Other recommended posts", based on your and other people's history rating.
You may rarely run into some minor bugs and issues when installing the widget (e.g. it won't always work on custom Blogger templates), but Outbrain has excellent support, and from my experience any issue will be solved promptly.

My 25 Percent is an online comic series (or webcomic) about a young software engineer, who one day found himslef working for a large international software company.

Are the stories real?
No, they are not. They are, however, very loosley inspired by true events, converstaions, ideas and dillemas. I portray them in an extremely exaggarated and twisted manner order to make the story funnier.

Are the people real?
Same answer as above.

Who are you, anyway?
I'm a young software engineer who one day found himself working for an international software company.

CRAP is a large international software corporate. What the CRAP initials stand for is yet unclear, but most CRAP customers would tell you it's probably "Customers Regret After Paying."

WELCOME TO MY 25 PERCENT
Fact: I work 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week.
Fact: There are 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week.
Inevitable Conclusion: I spend about 25 percent of my time at work.

This is the story of my 25 percent. It is the story of a young software engineer, who one day found himself working in a large international software company.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born in 1977, managed to survive a childhood in the turbulent eighties, and eventually came out quite well (except for an occasional desire to listen to the Pet Shop Boys).
I've been drawing ever since I remember myself. My first drawings as a young child were of Disney characters, but by the time I reached first grade I professionalized in drawing Smurfs. It was at about the same time that I discovered comics, while bumping into publications of Asterix The Gaul in a local magazine. I immediately fell in love with the funny looking Asterix & Obelix, forever busy with hunting boars and bashing Romans. Today I own almost every Asterix book that was ever published, and I still never get tired of reading them over and over again.
I continued to read comics throughout my childhood and adolescence, adding satirical publications such as Mad Magazine to my list. I also had a few tries in creating comics back then, but it was always drawing "for the drawer".
After a 3 year service in the navy, I went on to studying computer sciences. My passion for software is derived from the same sources that fuel my love for art – the joy of creating something out of nothing.
Today, I work as a software engineer in a large software corporation. I draw My 25 Percent whenever I can find the time, mostly on nights and weekends. I am married, and live with my wife and son in a suburb of Tel Aviv.
